Shooting Range Anyone?

So, I've been asked to the gun range, again, for the 4th time in a year. The other 3 times, the plans never came to fruition. Oh, all by different guys, too. I'm still not sure why guys seem to want to ask me if I want to go with them to the gun range, but, all in good fun. Should be interesting if I do go. I have never... correction, I have, been to a range. But that was 23 years ago.


23 years ago, I found out that I was a really good shot. The only other times that I have shot a gun were a BB gun and a small, single bolt action 22 rifle that was for a little girl. I was still a pretty good shot with it, even hung over. Darn bottle caps are just so dinky!

At any rate, I'm not sure if or when we are going. I have this weekend open before I head out to Colorado for a week with my best friends. I suppose we shall see. I also should say that this is my Sensei that has decided to take me to the shooting range. Well, it was all his idea.

We seem to get along quite well. We talk all day long on instant messenger, sometimes text, and twice a week I'm in training at his dojo. Where all this came from, I haven't a clue. One day, he was at the pool with me after training and from there on out, we've shared time talking over some drinks after his classes, playing Wii after some burgers at the restaurant, and goofing off online until it's late.

So, yeah, now, I've been invited to go shooting. I'm not sure what to think, really.

I've intentionally made it close to impossible to take me out, hard to meet up with me, and at this point in time, I'm not exactly all that trusting of the male gender unless it's someone that I have known for a while now. So, there are a lot of boundaries, barriers, hoops and hurdles to jump through. Honestly, I'm OK with that. I guess it shows that they have a willingness to break through and soften up this little toughie if they can hang long enough. I'm not really sure.

Anyhow, that's all I can think of right now. Should be pretty interesting if I actually do get to go to the gun range.
