New Opportunities

I have some new, and some sort of old, opportunities that I'm either waiting on, or hopefully, will begin the interview process soon.
Let's see, one is in Northern California. The last I heard, the guy was looking at some local candidates but hasn't taken me off the consideration list. The company is also 3 miles from Googleplex. Oh, how I would LOVE to be able to go over and have lunch with the Googlers and have an amazing on-call SEO advisory board to always turn to. So, I'm waiting to hear back from them as to what the next step might or might not be.

The original position that I was going to get is in Seattle. I was all ready to head out there for my final interview and get the paperwork to sign and start the moving process. I was devastated to find that they had to put the position on hold. However, I need to call them to wish them a new year and find out how everything is going out there. They were all so excited to meet me and I them. Phooey! But, if that position re-opens, it's mine.

Another one that is out of state is in Florida. They, too, are looking at some other candidates, but haven't said that I'm not out of the running. It's more of an account manager position and sounds like a great company to work for.

The other 3 are close to where I live. The way I got one of them is by way of sending an email to a couple of people at church. My group was asked to look at the new website. I did, and found quite a few things wrong with it. The owner of a company in town received my email and was quite happy with all the things that I had to say about the website and we had a great conversation about interactive design and the like. He said that they are actively looking for someone with my kind of experience and expertise. All from an email that I sent to our church! So cool!

One of the others I have now applied to them 3 times. Twice via their website and this last time with a recruiter. So, maybe something will happen this time. Keeping my fingers crossed.

And, the last one is more of an analytics position with a local university in town. I haven't heard anything back from them yet, but, we shall see.

So, that's 6 positions. 3 I have interviewed for, 1 a recruiter is helping me with, and another I'm waiting on to hear from. I am so hoping that I hear something soon! Keep your fingers crossed and I'll keep everyone up-to-date.
