Status Update

So, here is the status update. I have had plenty of probabilities that have come up through the months. The last few were in the South and in the Southwest.

The last few were here in town and another place in one of the Carolinas. I'm running out of time, running out of faith, too. The one in the Carolinas has come and gone, and now I am just in the holding pattern for just another position here. I have had so much faith that I would get employment so fast, but it just hasn't been that way.

I hope that I get the one here in town. It's really the last position that is available to me that I have had an interview for now. The one here in town would let do all the thins that I would love to do for a company and I would have full autonomy in doing what I would want to do with a site and business. Granted, though, this one would be putting all of my efforts into one particularly challenging area of expertise. At this point, it is all I can do but to hope that I get this position.

In other areas, though, I have been working at a youth ranch working with kids and horses. It is the best to be able to go out to the ranch and ride the horses and give them some exercise and love, as well as other times when I am there to help the kids get to know the horses and work with them.

I can't tell you how much I love working with horses and to also teach kids about the horses, too. To see a girl terrified of a horse 30 minutes before she picked his hooves is amazing. The next week, she was on top of the horse riding him while I was walking him with a lead rope. How cool is that? She started out scared, then just barely touched him, then petted the horse under his mane, fed him some grass she picked from the ground, and the next time I saw her, she was at the "business end" of the horse brushing his tail. While I was working with her and another girl teaching them about how to groom the horse, she comes up to me and says that she wants to pick his hooves! Amazing! After spring break, she was atop of her horse riding while being leg. Just so cool.

Nothing is more amazing to see kids like this. Shouldn't we all take lessons like this? Get atop the thing that we are scared of the most and conquer it. Ride it. Be one with it. Groom it. Make it beautiful. And in the end, be one with it while telling it what you want it to do with a symbiotic relationship.

I have had a lot of training in horseback riding and I love it. To prove the point that I am making, I rode a horse that is an amazing beast. He's 17.1 hands tall. Percheron/Thoroughbred mix who had a bit of a mix up early in his career. I think it's EPM. He gets a little confused at times, but he just LOVES to run, he loves to canter. I can feel him when he just wants to go, He doesn't care, he just wants to go, but I can tell he never wants to throw his rider, either. He is so careful to let you know when he's having a mix up and does what he can. He wants to try and makes his best to try and he makes his best to please his rider, too. How amazing is that? A horse that is trying to overcome his own imperfections is working with kids who are also doing the same!

I am blessed that I can do what I can right now while being unemployed. There is nothing better to know that I can do what I need to keep my spirit alive. There are times that I get down, but there are things that get me back up again.... riding and my martial arts. I thank God for both of them.

Anyhow, that's what I can so for now before boring all of you to death. I will let you know of the next update...

To be continued....

Blessings...
